MCW SUMMER CAMP 2025
For new and experienced students interested in
learning or expanding their wood crafting skills.
This camp is for rising 5th–8th graders in Fall 2025.

CAMP DATES AND PROJECTS
SESSION 1: June 9-13, 2025
Birdhouse Building +
Mission Community Woodshop is teaming with SPAWN (Salmon Protection and Watershed Network) to build birdhouses for western bluebirds. These will take a few days to construct and students will then design and build their own small woodworking projects.

SESSION 2: June 16-20, 2025
Adirondack Chair
Campers will tackle this American classic, a project that will expose them to a variety of woodworking tools and machines. By the end of the week, we’ll be sipping lemonade from our comfy chairs.

SESSION 3: June 23-27, 2025
Spoon and Spatula Carving
Get up close and personal with a block of wood, cutting, whittling, and shaping using knives, spokeshaves, gouges and more.

Full Day: 9 am–3 pm
After care available on a weekly basis from 3-4 pm

Sliding scale: $500 $600 $700
After care: $50 for week

11:30-12:30 – Walk to park for lunch
12:45-1:45 – Work time
