MCW SUMMER CAMP 2026

Join us for Mission Community Woodshop’s inaugural summer camps, each a weeklong introduction to a range of woodworking skills in our well-equipped shop. Campers -- rising 6th, 7th and 8th graders -- will be led by experienced woodworkers and counselors who will teach safe shop practices and give them confidence to measure and mark, use the table saw, bandsaw, drills, hammers, and more! Our days will include breaks and lunch in a nearby park for the right mix of woodworking and summer fun.

Mission Community Woodshop is teaming with SPAWN (Salmon Protection and Watershed Network) to build birdhouses for western bluebirds. Keepsake Box

Campers will undertake the age-old practice of box-making, creating a beautiful walnut box with wrapped grain edges, mitered corners with splines, contrasting liner and a snug, raised panel lid.
